This piece is a visual conception of what reality may look like in a five-dimensional universe. Inviting us into a world that consists of four spatial dimensions and one time dimension, N-dimensional Cacti challenges us to reconsider that which we perceive as reality, and to acknowledge it may in-fact consist of things which we cannot experience or know. The realistic rendering of the landscape references the way in which we experience our daily physical reality. To allude to this notion of abstracted four-dimensional reality, I drew over the top a recreated, abstracted version of the same landscape scene as a fragmented version that would liken itself to our experience of it in the fifth-dimension.
